The Grimaldi Forum Monaco is a unique venue at the heart of an
exceptional destination. It was one of
the first in Europe to be awarded ISO 14001:2004 certification. A high-tech,
smart, and bright congress centre can be transformed to host a variety of
different events, giving projects a whole new dimension.
Located
on the edge of the Mediterranean with excellent direct links to Europe’s major
cities via Nice Côte d’Azur airport just 22 km/30 minutes away, the Grimaldi ForumMonaco has established itself
as flagship destination for international business tourism thanks to its
world-class expertise and vast experience of major events, including
Top Marques, Christian Louboutin exhibition, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, Luxe
Pack, RDV de Septembre, and many more since it was officially opened on 20 July
2000 by Prince Rainier III and Prince Albert II of Monaco.
As
an iconic part of the events landscape, the Grimaldi Forum
Monaco will reap the benefits of the ambitious new “Mareterra” eco-district from 2025 onwards.
The Principality’s congress and cultural centre will see its exhibition
capacity raised by 50% with almost 6,000 m² of additional space. The extension
will allow the GFM to host even bigger events, all with incredible views of the
Mediterranean Sea from the Ravel terrace.
Fully
modulable for maximum versatility, the new spaces will be divided into three
zones:
- From
the hall of the same name, the new Diaghilev Gallery with 1,031 m2 of space will be able to accommodate nearly 370 m2 (net figure)
of stands.
- Running
along the seaward side of the existing building, the Carré and Les Salles
du Patio will be bathed in natural light. Covering a total floor area of
1,453 m2, they will be capable of accommodating almost 670 m2 (net) of stands, or can alternatively be split into eight meeting rooms
for 376 people in a theatre configuration.
- The
3,180 m2 Pinède Hall will complete the new facilities, with
capacity of up to 1,320 m2 (net) of stands in an exhibition configuration,
up to 10 modulable meeting rooms each capable of accommodating 80 people
in a theatre configuration, or a seated meal for up to 1,650 guests in a
dining configuration.
And to take full
advantage of the Principality’s privileged location and 300 days of sunshine
annually, a further 2,000 m2 of exterior spaces will also be
created:
- The
new Indigo terrace: 100 m2;
- The
Emeraude concourse (with the separate entrance to the extension): 610 m2;
- The
patio: 335 m2;
- The
Ravel terrace with its sea views: 585 m2;
- The covered patio: 375 m2.
